Are we getting swamped?

Hey Phrazz,

The board has been chugging fiercely lately with pages taking quite a while to load and I'm getting more and more "unable to access server" errors.

I'd blame things at my end except that I just got high speed and other sites are nice and fast.

Are we seeing a large traffic increase?

...but the Net in general is slowed down with holiday traffic. Try some round trips using http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/. See what your network segment looks like.

I'll check for bandwidth wasters, but things have been mellow since TheSlip.com took down the front page radio thingy.

Just to add my 2 cents.
I haven't had any problems recently from home or work.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I have no trouble believing that it's my end that's the problem and that it is in some way related to the whole router/port forwarding thing I'm struggling with.

I'm not going to try fixing it until my new computer arrives next week.

Then it's a clean slate.
