Post: # 17078Post harrymcq »

Someone was asking for this in one of the torrent discussions on etree so here it is... I just listened to it to make sure there weren't any flaws in the DAE and it is a hot show!!! The horns sound sweet. Crowd is a little talky though...

Is anyone else finding errors when they decode tracks d2t05, d3t05, and d4t01 of this show using frontend? I've downloaded it twice, and still the same results...

I verified the files with xAct on the Mac before seeding, have you tried another program to decode?

Whoops, I just tried to decode these and got an error. I re-encoded from my main lossless library on my RAID. This combined with the errors I was getting on 1/31/98 makes me concerned about the integrity of my slip FLAC storage drive. It was in the attic with the server and it is getting really hot up there. Luckily I have everything as Apple Lossless on my RAID so everything is ok.

Here is the link to the fixed files:

Interestingly enough the checksums are the same, that is why no doubt the flac's verified fine but I just re-tested and the tracks from the seed give me errors but these new tracks don't... aren't computers fun!

...although now it seems that d2t06 is also suffering from the same problem...

You're right, errors on d2t06. I killed both original seeds and made a new seed. This whole thing has been a mess but I double checked these files this time, decoded the whole set before seeding just to be sure.

Neat thing about bittorrent is that in this case you can use the new seed to fix your fileset without having to re-download the whole damn thing.

If you have already downloaded this just point your bittorrent client to your old slip2002-12-31.flac16 folder and it should make things right.

If you also have already downloaded the first 3 fixed tracks feel free to drop them in the original slip2002-12-31.flac16 folder as well (before opening up a window on this new seed!) and that will save you some downloading.

Here it goes, 3rd time's a charm:
