The Barr Brothers - Czehoski (March 12)

Here's a short review with a longer one to come. The Czehoski is a tiny, hip upscale restaurant in downtown Toronto. The stage at the back is pretty tight, and the "standing area" is super narrow with tables on each side. Brad told my friends and I that he was going to make sure they waved the cover charge because of how small the place was and also because they weren't even getting paid. That being said, it was full for the Brothers, with lots of folks watching who had never seen them with delighted looks on their faces purchasing CDs mid-set and at the end. Their set was basically the same as Thursday nights. No encore this time around. Brad lost his acoustic pickup during Old Mythologies and sang a bunch with no guitar, kind of neat. He also played some slide on Beggar which I haven't seen/heard him do. It was still a fun set, well played and exciting. My buddies who had never seen them before were very impressed with both this and the Dakota show (no surprise there)
