I think the whole album is a moment in itself screaming: OVERPRODUCED! But I think one song where the production is really, really good is the Soft Machine. But Even Rats has too much going on in it, especially compared to when I first heard it live at Northampton, MA. No white noise wooshing sounds...

TAB: Driving Backwards With You (Attempt! Help me out here)

Ok, so I just started to tab this out, because I've worked on it here and there for a while now, but I think I have some solid ideas down that sound close to the Aliveelectric recordings. Key of A Major: E|----------7s9---7---5-------- B|-------5-------------------7-- G|-----------------------------...

One more thing: "But it was during “December” that what was missing from Friday’s performance came clear - the band seemed tired. Brad Barr’s vocals were unusually strained, and though the musicians poured what energy they had into the gig, it seemed as if the Slip was low on reserves. It happ...

Re: Portland Maine 2-24-07

Notes: Brad used an acoustic guitar for several songs -- looked like a classical headstock on it, but body looked like the standard dreadnaught and sounded like steel strings. But he had this amazing tone on it - he played a few tight and rockin solos on it that sounded almost like the Gibson ES --...

stone church... isn't this where they played in 2003 with that sick mudslide? Actually, I'm pretty sure whenever they play at the Stone Church it's amazing. I have yet to be disappointed at this venue. My only wish was that they would do two set shows again. I think I saw Phrazz at this show if i'm...

Just thought I'd throw in basically all I know of this song besides a few chords here and there and basically the ending of the song (the major part, as opposed to minor). Opens up with two D chords: E|0---0----- B|8---8----- G|10--10---- D|10--9--- A|x---x----- E|10--10--- This is the intro and ver...

It's real nice up there. Too bad it's full of Canadians and gays (not that there's anything wrong with them!). I'd prefer good looking females :P You have to bare with Hampton Beach, NH for that.

Ogunquit, maine, by any chance? My grandparents live up there, it's right down the road from them, haha. And, yeah, the sign is hilarious.

As far as disappointments on IKE, I'm kind of upset Brad trashed the second verse in If One of Us Should Fall.

I don't know who Rosie is, but Tim is Tim Lanterman (Lanternman?). He used to be a big part of the band and their touring. I think I saw the last show he did with them at the Axis (also my first show...) in '04. in Children of Decemeber, Brad sang "February is for Tim, God we hate to lose him!&...

definitely. The doubling of notes that brad always does gets me every time.
