Belated, but: Congrats, Harry!

Noticed in your slip torrent storm thread you had a new little one arrive to the family recently. Congrats to you and your wife! I read that it was early, so I hope things are going well.

Re: A short story of woes.

That's disappointing to hear. Can't imagine the frustration and disappointment in that.

Re: Pre-order sleeping operator

Really cool to see them do shows with Jackson Browne. Actually, the others on the bills are all impressive.

Re: The Barr Brothers - Massey Hall, 06/20/2014

As the Neil Young show/album is a favorite of mine, there's something special about that place. I know they're all Neil Young fans so that must be near and dear to them, too. I'd love the opportunity to see them. Really interesting to see them open for a shoegaze act, though, and I've actually been ...

Re: Bahamas

Nice. I saw there was a new release on last.fm, but it looks like it was the single that you mentioned. Intrigued to hear this. That track sounded very well done. Hopefully he gets to tour more around the US, as I don't think he'll be with the BBros by the time they make their way to Cambridge, MA i...

Bahamas

I think Last.fm thinks there's a new, recent release. Can't seem to find it anywhere, although Wikipedia says that their new release is "Bahamas is Alfie (2014)". I think Brad and crew know this band pretty well, as they're touring some this summer/fall, and I remember an interview from li...

Man I have to wait 5 months until they come to the Sinclair in Cambridge, eh? Welp, let the countdown begin.

Re: "With Love"

Anyone know anything about the last track, Abide With Me? That song....Brad does post rock better than post rockers. I figure he's just running his FZ-3 and it sounds like a delay w/ chorus, but man that sound is HUGE.

He also somewhat hilariously sang in their cover of Everybody Wants to Rule the World at the Pearl Street Ball Room's Halloween show in '04.

Good question. I always wondered just how he inspired the song named after him, too.

I've kept myself fairly busy with work, but I'm looking forward to getting my ears into all of this material, for sure!

Per request, quick and dirty: Joe Higley

Rob asked me to tab out the riffs from Joe Higley since that video of Brad giving the quick tutorial was taken down. I don't actually know all of the lyrics to this tune, but just listening to the form, it's a 12 bar blues in the key of A, so for the most part you'll see A7, D7, and E7, or some alte...

Re: Slip collaborators Hobbs & Shanko play in Somerville May

Nice! I've been meaning to get to that place. May 17th is a pretty glorious day, so long as weather holds out, for Somerville, as that's our Porch Fest festival. People sign up for times all around town to perform from, well, their porches! Had a blast last year. It's also pretty great because it's ...

ISO Setlist for 3/14/1999

http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=556137

Only 5 or 6 tracks, but the text file within and the etree link don't have any songs listed. All I could recognize on a quick listen was Hey Worrier.

Any help?
