wasn't Driving Backwards with You on the setlist but not played back in December at the Paradise? I say that they give that another go.

preferably in Northampton.

because I'll hopefully be there.

Burlington show last night was great! Twin Killers w/ a cameo by Jennifer Hartswick, made it even crazier than it usually is (although, still not as crazy as the original, it has to be said...)

yeah I've heard that a lot, and I do agree to a point...but at the same time, A Ghost is Born is one of my very favorite albums in terms of production. which I know is an unpopular opinion, but I love it. I would argue that the biggest problem with newer Wilco is just that Tweedy's songwriting just ...

this was really shocking news. to be honest he always seemed pretty ego-centric and I didn't like all of his adornments he'd throw on songs during late-90s/early-00s Wilco, but still, as a huge fan of YHF it's weird knowing that one of the architects of that album is dead. and it must be even worse ...

I don't really understand why they would...seems like they'd have nothing to gain and a bit to lose if they changed their name. They might confuse some fans into thinking they were done, but its not like anyone is holding off on listening to the band because of the name...especially with a memorable...

Yeah they're similar, but not nearly as bad as that Brothers Past song that rips the vocal melody and the lyrics from the same song...

There are new (to me) studio versions of SMMD songs on their Myspace, how long have those been up?

I don't really see the comparison--I think Dr. Dog skew much closer towards 60s pop, Fleet Foxes are more folksy/Americana. recently I've been listening to: Menomena - Friend and Foe The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - s/t Andrew Bird - Noble Beast Mum - Finally We Are No One The Low Anthem - Oh My G...

don't really care, but I've never been a Phish fan. 2 shows at Bonnaroo seems like a bit of overkill when one of those slots could've gone to another solid headliner.

otherwise the lineup is real good though...i'd be there in a heartbeat if not for the ticket prices.

try promotional/PR firms maybe? i work with a bunch of firms that promote music to college radio, so it's typically good music to be working with. the ones that I think work with the best music/have the least sketchy promoters are AAM and Terrorbird Media. they're all pretty desperate for interns so...
