whoaa that's weird, i just saw a movie jhally did in my mass communications class. it was about how music videos encourage rape, or something to that extent. unfortunately none of the examples came from after 1991 so it was a bit dated.

i'd imagine it'd be on pre-order from theslip.com or Barnone's website soon, and probably cheaper than one of these 3rd party stores too, so i'll wait up.

i use uTorrent for Bittorrents, works like a charm. http://www.utorrent.org

i always convert to 192kbps mp3, i've found thats a happy medium between sound quality (though honestly i can't tell a 192 mp3 apart from a 320) and precious iPod space.

at the beginning of the show Brad was wearing a viking hat, too. shame Marc didn't have a pope hat, that would've been really perfect. gotta say though, it's a bit hard to take Brad's serious lyrics in Airplane Primitive seriously when he's singing them while looking a bit like Hagar the Horrible or...

Sure it was unneeded, but i laughed. they're possibly the indiest band i've ever seen (in the old school DIY sense, not the new school ultra-hip sense), at least for a national band with a big following that's been around for 15 years. and they had a sense of humor about it, too. at one point near t...

was one of the opening bands called Hell Vetica, or some shit like that? 3 piece.. the 'main guy' (oolie) played the fret board of a flying V and some keys while trying to sing? i think they were the worst band i ever saw. Helveta? isn't that a cheese? anyway yeah, that wasn't so good. but the band...

that's actually a good point, but with I Hate Love, Brad is already singing on the SMMD version, and even the live version isn't all that different from the ep version. although i guess it'd be cool if they did something a little different, and maybe call it the Nasty Chicken Fuckin Pizza Remix.

i posted in other forum but i'll say it again here, last night in Burlington was one of the finer shows I've ever seen, even if Doug Martsch spent as much time mucking with the projector as he did playing guitar (his efforts to do both at the same time were admirable though). also i was very disappo...

well I Hate Love was on the SMMD ep last year (speaking of which, whatever happened to the full album there?) so a Slip version would probably be pretty redundant.

i just got back from seeing them at Higher Ground. fucking fine show. except they kept breaking the projector (brett blamed the "rickety stage") so Doug would interrupt his soloing to try to fix it. it was a very big deal to him apparently. BTS is the dorkiest band in the world...its aweso...

"don't convert to mp3 and share!...even though i just did."

indeed.
