i'm partial to the collaborations between Hendrix and Jim Morrison. especially the one where Morrison just starts yelling "fuck her in the ass!" or whatever. that was some weird music.

Umphrey's Mcgee

Umphreys Mcgee is playing two nights at Higher Ground this weekend, should i go? I haven't heard much by them except their podcasts and one live cd, and I have to say I haven't been super impressed by what I've heard. seems like a lot of their jamming is kinda contrived, like they're just jamming fo...

Some pictures from the UVM show

So here are the best ones I took at UVM Friday. I hope these work. Sorry for the low res, Facebook is the best photo host I can get right now. Much higher res available if anyone wants it. http://photos-197.ak.facebook.com/ip002/v46/28/112/173702519/n173702519_30216197_2929.jpg http://photos-203.ak....

Yep, that was it. And I think the new one was the one called "When You Were Young" or something to that extent. anyway it was a damn nice show, didn't see any tapers though so that's too bad. i managed to convert 2 more to Slip fandom so it was a good night.

FLAMING LIPS / lake trout / oh no oh my - UVM 9/7

saw the Flaming Lips last night at UVM. holy shit. what a crazy experience. bouncing balloons, hamster balls, people in santa outfits, confetti, streamers, it was nuts. it was like a big happy dream that doesn't make any sense but you like it anyway. oh and the music was good too. the fact i...

2003.12.28 Knitting Factory is probably my favorite, with ICT a close second. But the Knitting Factory...damn. 4 hours of continuous Slip music spanning all kinds of crazy styles, and the recording itself is excellent quality.
