I did download through eMusic. 192K VBR, DRM free. It's a subscription service but you can cancel at any time and keep what you've downloaded. They offer 50 additional downloads free when you sign up, and have Nathan's entire catalog :!: (among other good stuff).... so yeah, not a bad way to spend ...

Yeah I'm quite liking this album. Sonya's voice reminds me of Grace Potter, but the music is much less...derivative. Think the first track is my favorite.

Okay I wasn't going to go to MMJ on NYE because I worry that New York will just be impossible to get around that night...but this extra little bit might be enough to make it all worth it.

VT beer is the best beer.

Tony Clifton (yes, THAT Tony Clifton) is "playing" at Higher Ground tomorrow evening. I can't go. Really wish I could as I really can't imagine what that scene is going to be like.

is Andrew in Land of Talk now?

Was just reading Stereogum, and came across this tidbit about the forthcoming Land of Talk full-length: It was just about a year ago that we had Andrew WK run around CMJ as our expert party correspondent. The night before we filmed I was awed by relative newcomer Bon Iver at Bowery, and hours later ...

yes I know they were very influential. but I still don't see what's so special about them. they just took the Pixies' sound and added a dose of angst.

so has anyone else seen Radiohead this year?

just wondering. saw them in Montreal last week, and at Great Woods just a few days ago. each was mindblowing, but especially the Great Woods show as I was pretty close and they finally played How To Disappear Completely in my presence and Thom Yorke brought Cymbal Rush out of absolutely nowhere. thi...

Feel So Wonderful = Touch Me I'm Going to Scream Pt. 1 or 2?

that's incredible though. Jim James and M. Ward on the same stage is pretty amazing. did She & Him play any other M. Ward songs?

would've loved to have joined in the fun, but it was 21+, and I'm 20, and thus they wouldn't let me in. super lame. wish they had played the Radio Bean instead.

Canning's album isn't bad by any means, it's got a couple real good songs. But a lot of the songs get lost in the production. I typically like dense music but sometimes it gets to be a bit overbearing. the new Sigur Ros album...hmm. The first four songs are the best they've ever done I feel. but aft...
