I don't know much Frisell, but I saw him on his most recent tour back in March at the Flynn Theatre in Burlington and absolutely loved it. first time in my life that I've heard something that reminds me of Alivelectric. Speaking of, what Frisell album would anyone recommend that sort of has that sou...

They have so many good songs that they could do their Eisenhower 'hits' as well as their new stuff along with a sampling of their old material. My biggest complaint with late-era Slip shows was not the repetitiveness of the setlists but the shortness of the sets. I know they are not trying to be th...

i've been thinking about this lately, and as bummed as i've been that the slip haven't been around (especially this new year's), i've started to think maybe this extra long hiatus is a good thing. i mean, everyone had been bitching the last time they were around how the set lists were all really si...

wow, ton of good shows there, all for free? makes me almost wish I lived in New York.

I saw MMW back in February--their new material is fantastic (though, what happened to their releasing 3 new albums this year?). show was nearly ruined by overly chatty trustafarians, but, so it goes.

If you buy new ones definitely rip them immediately. the end of my disc 1 skips like mad. Although if it skips right it just sounds like some kind of electronic remix of The Air The Body.

I think they just sort of ended up in a weird spot where they had alienated the jam crowd, but at the same time, despite the MMJ tour and the tv and all that, they weren't really accepted by the indie crowd either. so it was just an awkward middle ground.

but this is all off topic.

Langarado 07' all my buddies wanted to go see moe and like a jack ass i followed them instead of going to see Stephen Malkmus. Feel free to make fun of me below for my very very poor decision. as someone who was in the front row for that very Malkmus show... terrible move on your part. but don't wo...

aaaaactually NIN still has a very large following. especially ever since Trent started releasing all his music for free whenever he damn well pleased, earlier this year. many people regarded Year Zero as a return to form, although I thought it was laughably bad. but I liked some of the instrumental ...

Well, for now, Wikipedia-ing "The Slip" still goes to the band's entry, with a link at the top saying "if you meant the NIN album blah blah blah..." We'll see how long it takes for that to become a disambiguation page, though. In the mean time, maybe lots of early high school age...
