There was a copy of Relix addressed to me in the mailbox today. Weird. But hey, free stuff is always good.

Yup, Justin worked for SCI for a summer. JV, they completely remodeled Aliot hall last year and there's no more greensleeves. The end of an era. :( Yeah Clinton, you weren't like rude or anything... he was just drunk and bugging you cause I told him to say Hi if he recognized you from shows in Burli...

Yup, Pat and I went to St Mikes, graduated last year, we're still in VT. We had at least 4 good friends named Justin from St Mikes... but I think you probably knew JB? He's been doing booking and management for Pat and Jeremy's band Japhy Ryder, and he was up in Burlington until about a month ago. (...

sm, congrats on the photo publication! If anyone is ever swinging though Burlington, State of Mind is easy to find around town. Mike and Live Music Beth are also often at shows handing out copies. And Tara... I think I had a little too much fun with that South Park character creation and a little tw...

Yup, that's the one. Sadly, I honestly haven't been to it yet. I've been up here for 2 summers, so I don't have an excuse other than it's hard to convince anyone to go with me, and I couldn't find their listings anywhere. I wasn't sure they were even open when it rains... I'll have to check it out.

Thanks for the link Pat. It's dificult to find listings online for the local drive-in near Burlington because it's seasonal, but this site had a link to it! Sweet, now if only it would stop raining....

We got a subscription to Relix once and then got another free year for signing a petition for NORML... haha. But we stopped gettig it when we moved, and I don't usually pick it up unless I know there's a story I'm interested in. It just seems a little narrow in the kind of music/musicians they cover...

Damn, that last red/black puzzle took a while... even for someone bored at work like me. I even managed to loose a peice somehow, didn't know that was possible! (must've been hiding on top of another peice the same color or off to the side somewhere... oops.) I'll have to make a tough one from a pic...

I saw it last night. Some of the acting isn't great, there's probably plot holes, and a billion other things critics could pick at.... but I could care less, I liked it anyway. Some of the most intense Jedi fights, but I wonder why they chose not to show too much of Vader killing people... The theme...

Thanks for the other links too... this was just a lucky find. I'm not usually too picky with CD-Rs but try to stick with reliable brands that seem to be trade-friendly for most people, like Sonys, TDKs and Fujis. (And make a back-up of anything I want to hold onto for a while...)

CD-Rs on sale...

I went looking for as many CDs as possible for $20 last night for burning the new Japhy sampler... and stumbled across a good deal. 50-pack spindles of Sony CD-Rs for $8.96 at Staples (chain-wide, weekly sale, I think). I know some of you must go through them like I do. 8)

That was such a magical night. I'll bet the audience recording sounds great, I remember it was so quiet during the second set that you could hear them washing the glasses and putting them away behind the bar. They also played Soft Machine acoustic @ the WWPV performance... one of my favorite version...
