Jeez, I leave town for a week and don't check the boards, and the Slip makes big announcements?! Yet another reason why I should go on vacation more often! I'm down for Noho and Boston! Hmm, Higher Ground doesn't have anyone booked in the main stage on 06/23. *crosses fingers* They seemed to cut bac...

The resident audiophile in my household purchased The Complete Motown #1s box set recently. It's been old-school classics, all the time, at my house for a week. I poke fun at the boy for buying it, but it really is a great compilation. Well at least the first 4 discs are... we haven't even gotten in...

If they don't play Children of December on Saturday, I'll be just a little sad, cause it's my boy's birthday that night. (You all have my permission to embarrass Pat and wish him a happy b-day if you run into us! ) Zion always seems like a particularly fitting song for a New Year's run. Weigh...

The graffiti pages are gone. Your best bet is the wayback machine. http://www.archive.org/web/web.php You can see old versions of the website there, back to '98. Some but not all photos are archived. Some graffiti pages are archived too. You could try the link you have bookmarked in the wayback mach...

Yup, the opener and closer were also covers. Friends by Led Zeppelin and Run of the Mill by George Harrison. It was such a good show! It was a really long set. I remember looking at the time around 10:40 and thinking they'd probably be ending soon, but they played for another hour. I know a bunch of...

Nice! I think this was my second or third show.

How's it sound? I know I have a copy but for some reason I remember the sound quality wasn't the best. Knowing you Cleantone, this is probably an upgrade. Hmmm, my old trade list has a note that I'm missing the encore too.

One of the instrumentals was Maria La O. I'll check my notes later to see if I had any ideas on the other one. I enjoyed the set with Sonya as well. The sound was very guitar-driven, and it was sometimes hard to hear Marc. We found ourselves missing the big leather couch that was in the back of the ...

It was taped, but as far as I know, neither taper has circulated a recording. The front-of-room recording was done by Jonas. This is where he usually uploads shows: http://www.vermontlivemusic.com/ I see Nathan's shows from the spring, but not the SMMD from August. I think there's contact info up th...

You're welcome. I'd been meaning to post about the Nathan stuff up there, and kept forgetting. When our subscription lapsed they offered us 75 more free downloads to re-join, so I used that to get all of his back catalog that I didn't have. The Afrobeat selection is pretty killer. My husband is the ...

I've been listening to this for the last couple of days at work. Perfect for keeping me focused (when I'm writing code) but not distracting either. It sounds great on headphones. I was so psyched to hear a polished version of 'Still Shiver'. I still throw in that solo show from early '03 every once ...

I think eMusic.com should have it later today too. The link is there but the page isn't working for me yet. Arg! I hope it's up later. I'll probably purchase the CD when the tour gets here, but it's nice to be able to get it digitally today (and not feel like I'm truly buying it twice, since emusic ...

Can't help too much with Montreal suggestions, but for stuff going on, check the calendar of <a href="http://www.7dvt.com/sdvt_event/day-view?#tabs-event_tabs-3">Seven Days.</a> (It's a weekly, free, alternative newspaper that's based out of Burlington but they list happenings outside of t...

I wish I could fly out there this weekend... my sister lives across the street from the park. It is a bit pricey, but the stages are already going up and she can see at least one from her living room window. So jealous.

I was at Montreal too. We got there really early and stuck it out through the rain for a spot near the front. Still couldn't see much except the lights (I'm short) but the sound was great. Totally one of the best shows I've seen this summer. I'm about 90% sure I spotted Brad in the mad-dash to get o...
