Yeah, Woodstock '99 would be the one and only time I saw Metallica, and the world saw how that festival turned out. :x There's nothing quite like having been through a riot like t...

I remember the Slipknot issue, even though the jamband may have been around first, I don't think they had ever filed for the trademark. It was probably just the opposite with the band from the 70s, they probably still held a trademark. Luckily BAM registered the trademark with the US gov years ago, ...

Stumbled across Does my first semester of college in '00 and caught my first show either that fall or spring '01 at (the old) Higher Ground. Saw them at Berkfest that summer and by NYE '01 I was hooked. This was when I was 18/19, which makes sense, since 18 was the minimum age restriction on most cl...

the last Duo show in town wasn't taped so I didn't expect this one to be. Yeah, Dan is one of the few tapers left around here, but he travels a lot so it's hard to predict what shows he might be at. I think he may be back in town for New Years shows, so I'll try and get the source info for this one...

I was a slacker and didn't pre-order. It took quite a few tries refreshing timed-out pages to get an order through today... they must be getting slammed with traffic. I'm sure it'll be worth it though. Can't wait to give this a listen when I get home.

I definitely have that show. In fact, I think I used to have 2 copies. I'll see if I can track it down this evening. Might not be able to get it to you 'till tomorrow though, as I'm working the merch table for Japhy at Higher Ground tonight and it's bound to be a late night. 8)

I really miss Driving Backwards.

Hoc No Seh always stood out to me as a particularly beautiful tune too. I listened to that one a lot during some rough times (a death in my family) and somehow it was always comforting.

I got a small hoodie for my birthday yesterday. The sizing is a bit weird. I'm rather petite at 5'2 and the length is very long on me (I have to roll the sleeve cuffs under), but width-wise it fits quite snuggly. I know that Threadless.com uses American Apparel so I checked their <a href="http:...

Marc featured in bass guitar magazine

From the July issue of Guitar World's Bass Guitar Magazine (on stands right now.) It's the bass mag with Geddy Lee on the cover... Marc gets a shout-out in the editor's letter too for the reference to his pedals. Who would've thought that dropping out of Berklee in 1996 would've been the best move t...

I had the opportunity to go to snoe.down for free because the radio station I DJ for got free tickets, but passed because of the 60 mile drive Now how come I never got free tickets when I worked there? Dang. Tell them to call some alumn next time. (BTW, I heard about the discussion over selling the...
