Gotta revise my previous post. Queens of the Breakers is just fantastic and is my favorite Barr Brothers release for sure. All the elements are there. What a record!!

Digging the new record a lot! I still prefer the first BB studio LP, but this is a very strong offering and I agree with others that it's their most generally accessible yet. Nice work, folks! If you're up for it, you can go midi. Get a small midi controller (like the M-Audio Axiom 25) and you can explore a lot of sounds through stand-alone software and DAW plug-ins.

Sorry I was thinking of "Ernie Mickey (Volunteer of the week)" from Scullers 98. That is such a great tune, and an amazing version!

Cool album. It doesn't (and probably couldn't) have the magic of the first record, but it's pretty powerful. It's available for streaming on Grooveshark, listed under album name "2011." Do any of you guys use Grooveshark for streaming - great resource for checking out music.
