I think Brad should focus on his strength: guitar playing. I know he's taken years of voice lessons, but singing is not his strong point - not in the Slip, nor the Barr Bros. I know he wants to do the singer-songwriter thing, and God love him for trying, but......

sure would be mighty thankful if a certain band did a New England area show around Thanksgiving........

I'm thinking of going there on Saturday night to see Built to Spill. I've never seen them before but many people on this board have talked them up, so we'll see....

Maybe my memory is faulty, but have there been any Slip shows in the northeast this year? Still holding out hope for a Thanksgiving Slip show somewhere....perhaps the new Met Cafe in Woonsocket RI.

What can I say...I was at the Firehouse show and it tasted like a wheat crip when what I wanted was a real potato chip. It was pleasant music and all, but maybe I got used to these guys blowing my mind. I hope they got this Dan Fogleberg stuff out of their system so they can rock again.

I'm sorry, but I can't understand why the Slip was shelved in favor of this weak sauce. Way too mellow for my tastes....
