Re: Sarah Page leaving Barr Brothers

They played a sold out show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in December, me and my wife had such a good time we trucked it on down to the next night's show in Philly, we get to the show, and it hits us: no harp! I couldn't put my finger on it but I could tell this was more than just a "family...

Re: Barr Brothers- Please Let Me Let It Go (lyrics and chord

For whatever it's worth, I hear the last time Brad sings "please let me lose..." as "Please let me lost this old way that I tow"... not that I'm hearing right, but I like to offer alternate interpretations when interesting. Great work, thanks for everything everyone.

More than any of us, there were dozens of interviews in the 2005-6 range that asked them about the new direction. From just one: S: The more song-driven approach is apparent on a lot of the newer material, and it seems a more radical departure. Any fear you might alienate some of the older Slip fans...

Pete: I really loved that review... it explains SO much more to me. And wow. 11:30? in NYC? Rly?? Anyway, all things considered it was a great show. I should have bought the Barr brothers CD instead of the Davis LP, which is free in streaming form on their website anyway; what's that line from somet...

Hello. I didn't keep a detailed setlist of Union hall, and hopefully someone can help me out with the order, but if memory serves me at all, it went something like this: (I missed the first 1 or 2 songs) Union Hall 4/16/2010 ? ?? Roses in Bottles One Sick Knave Hollow Home Away from home Emily Green...

I hear both sides of the issue. I was just discussing this today actually, because it was indeed exciting how much exposure they got last night (and the room was packed and ecstatic throughout the set). My brother, for his part, takes a strong stance against extensive touring and promotion, but he m...

I was a young pup of 15 when I piled into Torph's car and caught my first sound of The Slip one afternoon at Bishop Connolly high school. Upon asking, I was informed that the name of the tune was "the social" which was really a much more sophisticated answer than I was prepared to apprecia...

If anyone posts it up on etree, I plan on trying to transcribe some of the songs that are missing from the l...
