sure did.

So this festival was great off the back. I decided to not
pay early for the tickets because I wasnt sure how many
people were comming and if i was even going to go.
When we showed up, one staff member who was directing
me where to park, asked if i wanted to buy 3 tickets for 20
bucks. His family didnt want to go so he had 3 extra tickets.
Granted he made 20 bucks on the deal, but i totaly dindt have to
pay 15 for a single ticket.
When we arived, if any one has been there before, they built
a large stage on the loading pavement. there was a large tent
against the building to house differnt kinds of beers. On the outer
part of the field were concession stands with food, picknick tables and
on the hill was a tent to watch from.
The Slip came on Third after The Press and Paranoid social club.
The Press was a 5 or 6 person white hip-hop band. For the majority
of the time the musicianship was lacking. Sort of not giving a strong
promise for the MC's
The next band was Paranoid Social Club. For some reason I put Radiohead, BSS and buena vista social club all mixed into my
brain, but they were nothing like this. Sorry if anyone is offended
but i did not enjoy them one bit. The dynamics of the songs were flat
and although the guitarist could play a thing or two on guitar, it was
very limited on when he did. Also the lyrics were not of great quality.
Throughout their entire set, they kept praising their credentials on the beerfest soundtrack. Of course it was appropriate given their location
but it was an all ages festival and everysong contained swears and
talking about drinking and drugs. Just dindt fit the bill to well.
So up next came the slip. My last time seeing them was at symphony hall. On the first riff that brad played, i knew something perhaps an encore was waiting for me. All in all it was a very nice show. The crowed was mixed. Alot of the Percy Hill fans were coming in around half way through BAM's set. They were enjoying htemselves. Each song was very well put together. Brad had to put superglue into his finger because he had cut it on those Bagette's in Montreal. For the encore the original loop for children of december was put into action. Tears for Fears song, everybody wants to rule teh world came on and it was a common grouping together song to just sing outloud.
After the slip were done, dark dark clouds were comming on. and because i had no protection for my gear i wanted to put it away but there is a no return policy. I would have wanted to see the next act but neither my friends wanted to get wet so we decided to come back home.
Good things happen
Dan

i just came to comment on that actually. but first off, thanks dan. so i first listened to airplane to see how it's going so far, if they added anything, and they sure did.. when did they add lyrics to this? first time played with lyrics? not sure what i think about it. it's pretty cool that it has words now, but i always enjoyed instrumentals... hmmm

I'm so happy to hear a recent show! Man there was some drunk ass people there huh? LOL. I think the sound sounds good but I'm not a taper or a soundman. The music has some subtle changes and I'm liking it...a little something different and new here and there....thanks again for taping and sharing.
I'm loving the 'Soft Machine'
