This song is actually called Kool. It's on John Scofield's Groove Elation album. I don't know how it ended up on Slip setlists as Cool #9, but I think it's time to stop spreading the lie.

As far as Cool#9 goes isn't there a Satriani tune by the same name? - check it out...this might be the source of the confusion.

Nonetheless, The Slip played the shit out of that song that night whatever its name may be.

Could be. I don't know satriani really at all. I know, so much for my cred, right?

It's funny though, a buddy of mine was just bending my ear about this show a few weeks back, and then it turns up here. Weird, huh? And tasty. Very tasty. Thanks for sharing.
