OK, time for my turn at shameless self-promotion. Well, no not really... it's not my band. But I live with at least half of this band at any given time, and devote a bit of time and energy to helping them be heard... So yeah, if you're ever wondering what I end up listening to even more than The Slip (to the point that it's like one long song in my head with different movements... that just keeps going  ), check out my dear friends and roommates, Japhy Ryder.

They've got 3 new shows that finally made it to archive.org this week, including their show from 02/04/05 with Sam Kininger sitting in, and a soundboard from 02/24/05, openning for The Roots.

Here's the link to the archive list:
http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=japhy%20ryder

And for anyone in VT they're playing tonight at Ri-Ra's in Burlington, 03/19 at The Monkey in Winooski, 03/23 at Nectar's, and 03/25 at the Langon Street Cafe in Montpelier, and I believe there's a show coming up in the Albany-area next month too. (see japhyryder.com for more dates/changes) Which reminds me... I'm late for their show tonight.

::thus ends my rare attempt at un-Slip-related self-promotion.

ScS- Thanks for posting those!

I'd be interested to hear what you and anyone thinks of these shows too. I know some people have heard some of their stuff through me in the past, but they've definately evolved quite a bit over the last year or so.

thanks for hosting the torrents. We used to utilize bit torrent, but found that the live music archive is just plain faster to download from. And thankfully it allows our computers to be turned off. (i think i went about 9 months with out ever turning my old one off.... makes you wonder why it quit working and the monitor exploded... thanks KT I forgot about that one.)

but to be blunt, hit our website www.japhyryder.com
its under some reconstruction between now and when the new hosting server takes full effect, so if it acts funny I appoligize, you'll just have to go back to it again sometime.

Thanks again ScS
