Mr.Davis Knitting Factory, anyone tape it? (and VT bad news)

I'm hoping someone saw an audience taper there last night. I didn't go. I thought I had a taper lined up for it but turns out he stayed home to watch baseball instead of going to the show. My guess is nobody taped it but I'm hoping one of you knows better.

It would suck if it didn't get recorded expessially since my VT recording will probably not circulate. It's a better recording of drunks at the bar than it is of the show. I went with the easy route instead of the good sounding route. I didn't want to guard my gear all night in the sweet spot mid room so I set up in the back or the room by the soundboard. I put my mics up like 20 feet thinking that might be enough to get away from the bar noise but it wasn't. It's really distracting and I don't think it's gonna see the light of day unfortunatly.

I downloaded the torrent of Boston and heard it driving home yesterday. It's good and I appreciate Jason tapeing and getting it up really quickly but I think mine from the balcony might have much clearer vocals. I'll work on it today and if it's a bit better will get that one out. I'm only recording The Ironhorse and Fall River from here out too.

That's too bad about your recording - thanks for setting up your rig anyways.

Whatever happened to Jim C.? I haven't seen him, or heard a recording of his in a long while.

Jim has been working big time with his company job. He comes only to a couple shows a year now if even that. It's really good to see him but it is only on occasion. He was at NYE but didn't record it. We had dinner next door at that fancy spot with expensive plates of food.
