Hey Cleantone! Thanks for your efforts in delivering this recording directly into my ears (and my girlfriend's and cat's!).

I'm listening through for the first time, and noticed a very rough start to Cowboy Up (disc 1, track 5)....roughly 2 seconds of quiet, followed by a Cowboy Up already in the middle of the intro....Any idea what's going on?

Lumpy,

All I can guess is that the loop that is prerecorded was muted at the frontof house console. Brad started the sample and Sammy quickly realized that channel needed to be open and unmuted it mid sample. I think the "silence" is just quietness and not missing info. That is how it is on the origional recording. I did no post production on set one other that retracking the songs.
