Little Boat (b.barr)
who's in control
of this little boat
is there a man
or do we just float
both sails are down
and the rudders sunk
if we don't get found
we might as well get drunk
it's amazing how much we've seen since we left shore
and the mines we meant to avoid seems laughable blown up
some winds were strong
some lands we just unreachable
some channels were unnavigable
some songs like this were all we had
I can see my home
through the telescope
if there's still an oar
then there still some hope
but off on the way
my eyes caught a glare
got turned around
and now were back to nowhere
some winds were strong
some lands we just unreachable
some channels were unnavigable
some songs like this were all we had
who's in control
of this little boat
is there a man
or do we just float
both sails are down
and the rudders sunk
if we don't get found
we might as well get drunk

that beginning and ending is really smooth, I always wished I could write anything like that. I just wish i could put what's on my mind down to words
Thrice you have rescued me from falling grace;
once when I was a beggar and you were the rain on my face,
once when I was crippled and you carried me,
and once when the blindness of others taught me how to see.
