A
i'm like a cartoon
     Adim
i'm drawn to where i go
      D5add6/A A
these clouds i'm below look like a painting
 A
sometimes i wonder
   Adim
in slow mo
       D5add6/A A
like a child being flattened by a fat man fainting

F#m A
it may sound silly but its true
F#m A
actually most things do
      Dsus2/A
lord, lord
           A
i pray to you
         Bm
and now here i am

i'm like a cartoon
for better or worse
for butter and bread i'm asking
it's written in the bubble floating above my head
sometimes its only ampersands and exclamations

it may sound silly but it's true
actually most things do
lord, lord
i pray to you

and now here i am

i'm like a cartoon

bridge instrumental: A chords, with a descending high note, then continue with F#m, A etc. harmonica comes in on the F#m

i'm like a cartoon
dodging falling safes
i heal right away that's why they thank me
it's all just howling at the moon
at the end of the day
surrounded by things that say acme

it may sound silly but it's true
actually most things do
lord, lord
i pray to you

and now here i am

i'm like a cartoon

Adim D5add6/A Dadd9/A

  x x 0
  1 0 3
  2 2 2
  1 0 4
  0 0 0
notes:
i don't think Dadd9/A is actually what he plays there but i like it.
i don't know if D5add6/A is what that chord is called, but i'm pretty sure it's what he plays there.
