Here's a quick guess:

There's a Lie,
I keep on telling myself every night
I haven't been good as I might
(Been?/Oh to?) Caught without a raincoat on

I want to walk through the valley of heroes
I want to talk with Bobby DeNiro
I want to stalk the very lion that ate the Wildebeest

And let's fight the tendency to say goodnight
or see you tomorrow,
lets strive, before the lawyers call security

I've been stealing bread from a crow,
sharpening my razor on the radio,
and she's still lying here

When you were a child,
even though you were handsome, beguiled,
held up for ransom, defiled,
dethroned, debauched and deamplified

When you were young
You Used to crawl in bed with your phone
your fingers up to you head like a gun
and (the chambers?) though the weapon was loaded

I've been stealing bread from a crow,
shapening my razor on the radio
and she's still lying here
Oh oh oh.....

I Want to walk through the valley of heroes
I want to talk with Bobby DeNiro
I want to stalk the very lion that ate the Wildebeast

And Let's Fight the tendency to say goodnight
or see you tomorrow,
lets strive....

Anyone have any luck with this on the guitar? First part is A and D, goes to E but then I lose it...

Actually, the verse goes something along these lines:

A
there's a lie,
Bm (that's what i hear...this goes over 'night')
I keep telling myself every night
D
I haven't been good as i might
A
been caught without a raincoat on (if those are the right lyrics)

chorus

C#m
I've been stealing bread from a crow
F#m D/F# (this goes over radio)
Sharpening my razor on the radio
A
she's still laying here
F#m A

E|---------------------------------
B|--5-3-2-------------------------
G|----------4-2---------------2--- this fill is played in the F#m A part at the
D|----------------4-2-4-2-4------ end of the chorus, something along
A|--------------------------------- these lines
E|---------------------------------

I use a D chord that looks like this for this song

E|x
B|3
G|2
D|4
A|x
E|x

and I like to play the intro like this:

E|-----------------10-9-------------10-9--------------------------
B|------------------------------------------------------------------
G|--6--7---9---9----------11----9---------11-13--14-13-11--6---
D|--7--7---7--------------12---------------12-12--12-12-12--7---
A|--7--7---7--------------12---------------12-12--12-12-12--7---
E|------------------------------------------------------------------

a little bit like that. if you play it differently, please share :D

im hearing it as:

you used to crawl into bed with your thumb

as in thumb and fingers make the shape of a gun. cant make out the last line any clearer though

Well just like any song the lyrics went through some settling. I know it was at least at once point...

When you were young you used to crawl in bed
with your thumb and fingers up to your head like a gun
and now you know the weapon was loaded

I think the 2nd time through in the song the variation was

When you were young you used to crawl in bed
with your thumb and fingers up to your head like a gun
the demons knew the weapon was loaded
