I got Nathan to help me out over at percyboyd.com. Here's what he had to say about playing it.
(dunno about capos and whatnot)
E|------------------
B|--------3-----3--
G|--2h4--------0--
D|------------------ 3x
A|------------------
E|--3---------3-----
Then there's a C chord and you pull of your index finger on the B string from C to B. Then repeat.
The rest of the chords are like so:
C D
Rise and shine sleepy head
C G
up and at em outa bed
D
the day is anew
C
and love's been looking for you
G
rub your eyes you got something to do
D
you're a miracle boy.

Re: Sleepyhead tab
Did anyone ever get the entire lyrics to this one? Most version I have are really hard to get all of the lyrics. I'm at the point where playing this is second nature, so I'd like to try my hand at singing along.
Re: Sleepyhead tab
The lyrics as I understand them:
This morning I went straight to the mountain and there I rose from sleep
to the pounding of a thousand hearts dancing light on their feet
I walked on my hands, spun on my head, and puffed away my sins
I stepped barefoot from my bed into the darkness, juggling pins
Rise and shine
sleepyhead
Up and at 'em, out of bed
The day is anew
and love's been looking for you
Rub your eyes, you've got something to do
You're a miracle boy
How could I've been so afraid? So lost last night inside myself?
How can the sun shine so today, like there's love and nothing else?
I've been broke so many ways that whatever I hold just spills
But just maybe like the morning rays of sun across the hills
Rise and shine
sleepyhead
Up and at 'em, out of bed
The day is anew
and love's been looking for you
Rub your eyes, you've got something to do
You're a miracle boy
la da da, la da da, la da da da da da da da
la da da, la da da, la da da da da da da da
I was stuck inside my head, but life pulled me right from bed, said
"you were just asleep. you are not dead," like Mama always said
Rise and shine
sleepyhead
Up and at 'em, out of bed
The day is anew
and love's been looking for you
Rub your eyes, you've got something to do
You're a miracle boy
and love's been looking for you
Rub your eyes, you've got something to do
You're a miracle boy

Re: Sleepyhead tab
I think those are spot on. Thanks!
