so ive been listening to happy songs for happy people, and im really diggin it. anyone else like this band, theyve been around for a while, and my slow ass is just now checking them out. :?

i'm on the same boat. have tons of friends who listen to them and always mentioned them. never got around to checking them until about a year ago. really really enjoyable music.

after reading someone's suggestion on here yesterday, I downloaded "government comissions." It was alright, but I wasn't really psyched. I liked all the mellow chill parts, but didn't like their more aggressive, "noisy" sections.

Is there a better disc to check out?

If you like the mellower stuff check out Happy Songs for Happy People and Rock Action. Mr. Beast (the new one) is a nice mix of mellow and loud.

Check out Explosions in the Sky, they are like Mogwai but less intense and much more melodic...In my opinion they are much better.
