so ive been listening to happy songs for happy people, and im really diggin it. anyone else like this band, theyve been around for a while, and my slow ass is just now checking them out.

i'm on the same boat. have tons of friends who listen to them and always mentioned them. never got around to checking them until about a year ago. really really enjoyable music.

after reading someone's suggestion on here yesterday, I downloaded "government comissions." It was alright, but I wasn't really psyched. I liked all the mellow chill parts, but didn't like their more aggressive, "noisy" sections.

Is there a better disc to check out?

If you like the mellower stuff check out Happy Songs for Happy People and Rock Action. Mr. Beast (the new one) is a nice mix of mellow and loud.

Check out Explosions in the Sky, they are like Mogwai but less intense and much more melodic...In my opinion they are much better.
