Nathan Moore
Where has this velvet-voiced troubador gone?
It's tattooed on my butt.
Life is a state of mind. (Have you seen "Being There?" You've got to. What a statement. And Oteil Burbridge plays a little punk on the street corner.)

that's good to hear about the new album.
is TheMusement still touring or playing together? I only know Nathan's stuff with SMMD, and a little of what I've heard on that streaming site he did.
He seems to be a folk musician who has gravitated toward the jam scene. I bet it's tough being a folk musician. You play in front of very small crowds all the time, and a lot of times you're playing to crowds who chatter away. You can always try to go to Nashville and sell songs to the big labels, but then you have to write for the masses and change your style.
I really appreciate someone who can stick with it and make a career out of it.
check out http://www.jonathanbyrd.com/ for another guy who lives this life and should be heard.

nathan hasn't always been folk...
but there is something folky by nature of lyrical songwriting. then everything changes, evolves and manifests in different ways... what he has with the slip in smmd is something that's as great together as chocolate and peanut butter... or something like that. heheh
it's worth exploring the evolution of ThaMuseMeant to understand more about nathan... and his new album is something different altogether in some ways. yet quintessential nathan as well.
*shrug*
