the album IS so good. 1,2,3,4 is a song that will make you want to give life a great big hug after you listen to it...just elevates wellbeing and excites you. The music video is also extremely well done too, a friend of a friend was the director on it and said she was an incredible woman and fun to work with. I think her music comes from honesty and thats really admirable. great voice and lyrics to boot.
And if there's one thing I know to be true, it's let what you love be what you do.

Leslie
Dan, she's taken.
I'm pretty psyched to see Feist next week. The new CD is amazing, or at least the tunes I've heard. I'll get it at the show. She's been in Rolling Stone now 3 times? Or more? If anyone is thinking of seeing this legendary songstress, get tix early 'cuz her shows sell out fast. Big venues, too...the word is out and she's got a wave of popularity behind and ahead of her. Good things to come, for sure!

curious...
just curious,
has anyone heard the postal service mushaboom remix.
not sure how i feel about it myself.
i like postal service.
i like death cab.
i like feist.
and i like dntel.
but its just a little bit too much of gibbard's voice when he repeats "watchin the fire as we grow." just too much focus on him for me.

Re: curious...
exactly, i like the music but his voice runs that track for me. hell, his voice pretty much ruins anything he does for me. i really really dig the one room one hour mix of gatekeeper though.Colin wrote:but its just a little bit too much of gibbard's voice when he repeats "watchin the fire as we grow." just too much focus on him for me.

shut up, ben
i loved death cab at first but now his voice just pisses me off...
thats why i love dntel -- i can listen to his awesome electronic skills without the annoying voice, except for a few tracks jimmy does with ben.
he also does some cool stuff with stereolab's singer

are Boards of Canada even around anymore? I didn't think they were. regardless, I don't care much for that machine-sounding, clicks-and-cuts type of electronic. Dntel can get away with it because of the vocalists he uses. I do like BoC, but i think they get more hype than they deserve to be honest. Up In Flames by Manitoba is vastly better than Music Has the Right to Children.
