[the golden eternity]

how do i escape from a hell prescribed by myself?

the more i focus on the light at the end of the tunnel, the farther away it seems. to know that it's really there would relieve this scare, but i'm no longer sure that i should trust my own senses.

mistaking the devil as innocuous is perhaps a forgivable offense the first time, but the second plunge leaves nothing but overwhelming shame.

i've been blessed with a life full of chances at love and beauty, and it seems i have squandered them all. i'm crossing my fingers that this is an opportunity. to find the gates of hell within my own mind is a wakeup call like no other. this time i'm gonna make things right.

i pledge to no longer take for granted the angels that come my way.

giving love suddenly seems viable

alive and well
will live to tell
angels of my dreams
of beasts banished
and vices vanished

demons can fill the void
but they're unreliable

the void's best left vacant for voyaging voices
it leaves open the option for whimsical whispers
