the forgotten tunes

Post: # 23696Post johnhk4 »

there's a bunch of 2003-2008 tunes that didn't make any albums. Just for the heck of it, what is your ideal forgotten slip tunes album?? might be fun to fantasize --

here's mine:

1. More Intense Surveillance
2. Fear of Falling
3. Reddish Moon
4. Tonight we leave Chicago
5. Cut from the cloth
6. Crazy one
7. All I saw was you
8. Soft warm simple wonder
9. Proud
10. Moderate threat
11. Cowboy up

Well you might want to make the list through 2005-2006, because Eisenhower was their last effort and was released in November of 2006.

More Intense Surveillance didn't make an "album", but it certainly was showcased on the Live @ Lupo's album. Think it was 6.12.04. That's also hands down my favorite version of it.

I think you might see some of the following on the new album:

There's a Lie
All I Saw Was You (they played this one rather recently and it sounded a lot different)
Wine & White Soda

At least I'm hoping.

My favorite has got to be Predicting the Rain. And, of course, Nathan's song, Back in 15 Minutes.

I hope they release their album 'in the can' sooner rather than later before they write a whole new batch of songs to never put on an Album.

Not in any particular order but I would like to hear:

Dear Milena
Proud
There's A Lie
Gaunt Debutante
Broke the Promised Land
Miss Prism
All I Saw Was You
Something Learned

harry -- good point, but i think there's also a lot of pre-ike tunes I was thinking about too.

my favorite more intense... has got to be the one that is on the 2005 fan compilation - I think it is from 11/18

i totally forgot about gaunt debutane -- what a cool tune!!

I might throw in a few from before 2003 as well. I wish they would cut 3 or 4 albums live in the studio just for the fun of it.

1. Flight of the Peruvian dragonfly
2. Joe Higley
3. Dear Milena
4. White Wine & Soda
5. Gaunte Debutante
6. Tenfold
7. Witch in The Kitchen
8. 74
9. Dogs on Bikes
10. Reddish Moon
