Is it safe to say the Slip are done?

Post: # 24799Post Kevin_Kjr »

there has been no activity for a while, they said they were coming out with a new album soon about 3 years ago but no one has heard anything since. I'm assuming they are working on Barr Brothers stuff and releasing another album. If The Slip is pretty much done at this point.. it was a good run.

this convo constantly rears its head. The Slip will never be dead. Will it be the main focus? Not by a long shot. The Barr Brothers' music resonates with people (lots of people), and in turn, Brad and Andrew will run with it. Will we see 1-4 Slip shows a year. I think we can more or less bank on that. Will we ever hear a new Slip album? I wouldn't hold your breath.

I don't think they'll ever be done for good, at least I hope not! I think they are really trying to make a go of it as the Barr Brothers but the Slip will pop back up some day.

I noticed that on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Slip_%28band%29

specifically in the Discography, it lists
TBA – 2013
It was originally 2012, but got changed to 2013 in late January.

Aloha,
Brad

Given the fact that Marc's out in California now, I don't think it means it's done, per se, but it's just not in the cards right now.

Pretty good view of the guitar parts at the beginning, too ;)
