Ad design, what do you think?

Post: # 6216Post Cleantone »

The resolution is decreased for the post but layout and content wise what do you think? It was done by http://www.nateduval.com/. Check his site out. By the way, it's for a quarter page not a full page.

It looks nice Cleantoe, but why the quotes around "Turn Your..."....are they needed?

other than the fact that you spelled your name wrong, it looks great.

lumpy- the quotes are needed because that's his slogan. he says that to everyone he meets regardless of whether they actually have a gig or not.

I think it's pretty good and you should go with it. But i thought you were "Cleantoe" now. I was imagining something a little more flesh-colored and digity.

Hey Clinton,

Looks good. Maybe if the dots on the sides were turned into microphones?

Dots look better than dashes for the 3 items (round theme).

I think "call or email" is understood and is not needed. Less is more.
You can also leave out "please leave a message" because it sounds a tad bit desperate. ;-} Then you make your email larger, put that under your name, and can make the phone number a bit larger, too.

Experienced Engineer should be first.
On-site multi-track recording (suggest). "Location" is ambiguous.
"New England based, will travel" also suggests flexibility (and implies there will be travel expense reimbursement...for the sharp ones they can figure out the between-the-lines).

Maybe also mention "highest quality equipment" (then you can talk about your penis ;-}).

Then when it's ready, run the ad in a real magazine. :) [Relix has a pretty decent subscriber base.]

"Please leave a message" sounds to me like I should expect a machine. I'd rather at least hope that I'll get a person.

Lots of good suggestions. Thanks folks. I will definitly use alot of them and agree with what was said. For now I think it will be only in State of Mind since I can get that done really easily. When I have money Relix would be a place to think about for sure. Maybe some websites too. Someday I'll have to cave in a get a website made up. I'm not sure when though. Keep any suggestions coming if you have anymore.

i'd buy your services any day. even if i had to leave a message.

hey, but how about a partial list of clients? (perhaps not, as it may make people think that you only do a certain "style"... but perhaps so, since a reference, and your consistent taping of a band that i love dearly, is what led me to your "services", and i do quote in such a way to be ambiguous, or perhaps androgenous, to reference Phrazz's earlier post...?? ok, gotta end this parenthetic thought somewhere...........)

and is it need said what size of a group, or to let people know that you are fit for their style of ensemble in any sort of way? for example, "equipment to fit any drum rig", "all the standard mics, as well as the special ones for your vocalist and horn players", "will fit a solo performer as well as a 6 piece multi-instrument group"

mango and company - the still sorely unnamed company.
