When I said "wonders like the Great Pyramid," I was specifically referring to architecture.

arguments for extraterresterial involvement in building in the pyramids has its roots in racism.

'theres no fucking way those brown people could build this marvel. mustve been aliens'.

racist?
i agree with putty. wtf?

i could possibly sorta see how a gross twisting of logic could come up with such a preposition, but... no, not really. that's ridiculous.

umm? are you serious?

maybe racism is a loaded term, but claiming that extra terrestrials HAD to be involved in constructing the pyramids and other feats of past civilizations is a statement that asserts the superiority of our civilization over all past civilizations. This is what Marx and many other thinkers got wrong. There is no evidence that history is purely progressive, that history moves forward toward a better tomorrow, technologically or ideologically.

thanks for calling my statement bullshit though. youre open minded about extra-terrestrials but not about racism being behind alot of our commonly held conceptions?

But it's not about racism. Why would a white person, who doesn't have any ability to build a pyramid, say a brown person couldn't've built a pyramid because they are brown? That just doesn't make sense.

it's not:
"White people can't do it, so brown people definitely can't do it."

it's more like:
"Humans can't build it, so maybe aliens did."

I agree that devolution of sorts could be the reason for not understanding the pyramids.
