say you download a show, the quality is pretty good, but after fucking with the eq settings in winamp, you realized you made it more what you were looking for. is there a way to go about doing that to the original files so i can burn them that way (aka make them sound like that without the eq on in winamp)? thanks a lot if you can help.

As far as I know, you can adjust the eq. in winamp, goto the preferences menu and change the output to Disk Writer. This will output to WAVs while you are playing the music. When you push play you will not hear the music play out loud, it will go fast, and should output with your selected eq. and volume settings. When you choose the disk writer for output, don't forget to configure it and select the output directory. This is what I use to do a couple year ago, but quit after buying a high end car stereo, house stereo, and nice surrounds for my PC.

A couple notes:

DO NOT TRADE THIS MUSIC AFTER YOU HAVE DONE THIS!!!!!!
Unless you have notified the receiving party.

Don't forget music sounds different depending on the electronics and speakers.

Anyone else want to chime in?

yea, this isn't for trading purposes. it's just for my own ears. i enjoy tweaking some audience recordings because people have different ears and enjoy different sounds.
