I'll tell you, you go away for a couple of weeks, and the whole business blows up. BAM are being written about in Rollingstone and NY Times and there is no more graffiti...I am overwhelmed. I'm sure there has been a lot of talk that I have missed out on, but I justed wanted to note that times must be a-changin'...peace to you all, see you at these shows coming up!

Press snowball is gathering momentum

Welcome back, Etahn.

We'll be seeing more of these spurts in the near future. This is a turning point for BAM as this kind of "huge press" snowballs. Not to mention having a band like My Morning Jacket going to your shows, having an article written by none other than Jim James and having a great connection to the most widely-known music magazine (maybe Billboard could have a larger circulation) does not suck. It's also no coincidence that so many BAM fans are MMJ fans (like BAM), and over the time the reverse will increase (especially if we Google-bomb MySpace ;-}).

There's a ripple effect of getting into Rolling Stone where other trade mags and more major newspapers start to cover these "newfound storymakers". It's kind of ironic after 10 years BAM is now moving into the big times, but those of us who have seen rises and falls realize this was a critical juncture in time. Carpe Dubem.

By the way, Etahn, while you were away, there was this High Sierra thing, too. :) Sorry you missed that but maybe you can join us next year?

Oh, BTW, the next step will be Conan or Saturday Night Live. Mark my words.

P.S.: I sensed something cool was going on at High Sierra, but didn't know about the Times and RS articles until the ride to the Reno airport. ( Boy, man! Those all-you-can eat buffets are spectacular! And the money I won on Roulette paid for my airport parking. 8) )

Yea, my bad, Etahn was going by "ethan" on graffiti and I was "Ethan" - a misunderstanding that turned into an arrangement. Anyway, maybe I'll see around...
