Great day at the market!

So I had been working for a farm for the past year or so, and continue to work the sf ferry building saturday market a couple weeks a month.
I absolutely love the market. In addition to it being the greatest gig (aside from 3:20am wake up) ever (see below for my bartering haul), today was especially great as mike gordon came through right towards the end of the day. He was as nice as can be expected from someone who I bet is recognized all the time. I got to thank him for opening me up to new types of music for the last decade, and gave him a one of the farm's lavender goodies, a lavender-calendula hand salve.
A lot of the vendors at the market are happy to barter goods, and today I came home with an enormous amount of stuff. I think a spent a total of $17 on: Pasture raised eggs, seranno and cilantro goat cheese, pomegrantes, fuju persimmons, apples, rutabagas, turnips, radishes, chard, 3 types of dairy cheeses, grass pastured beef, ridiculously gourmet chocolates, st. benoit yogurt, "popcorn", sourdough rye, heirloom dry beans and popping corn, eggplant spread, and a massage - all locally produced. Holy mother, I freakin' love the market!
