BAMS Gear this tour

Post: # 15576Post Oaxaca »

Just wondering if any of ya know if BAM brought along keyboards for this tour? Also, does Andrew actually bring a Steel Drum w/ him on tour or are they just MIDI? I thought I actually saw him play them before the show in Chicago last spring..

thanks!!

i saw a steel drum in philly. as far as keyboards go, i'm not sure marc was playing one or if it was some midi controller.

I have photos of Andrew on a real steel drum and Marc on keys.
Jury may still decide if this is a MIDI trigger.

P.S.: I'll have the Paradise, Stone Church and SMMD Staunton photos up in a few more days. I have a backlog.

P.P.S.: Oaxaca: cool handle. Welcome to the party! :D

if you got to push a button to make sounds, its a keyboard to me, and marc has a new one for his hands along with the roland hes been using for his feet.

The pix from Charlotte clearly show that the keyboard Marc is playing is an M-Audio.

That would indicate to me that it's almost certainly a MIDI controller, since I don't think M-Audio makes synths. (They do make an e-piano, but it looks nothing like what Marc's playing.) Since he's already got the MIDI module that he controls with his pedals, it makes sense that he'd take advantage of it with a controller. No need to lug a heavier and much more expensive keyboard synth along when he can use the rack module he's already got.

Just a guess. I'll ask when I see him at Rev Hall on the 21st.
