It was very cool. I couldn't believe Mike was out on stage with the guys. At first I thought it was a Slip-like gag with Marc wearing a wig. Then I was like "holy sh*t, it is Mike Gordon". It was the most rockin' version of 19th Nervous Breakdown I've ever heard them play. GREAT encore choice.

Mike has played with the Slip in SF before and they also opened Oswego. Not that far fetched that Mike sat in considering he was at the Nathan solo shows in VT earlier this month. It was kind of weird. it seemed like Mike was in the audience and one of his people said Mike wants to sit in with you so Brad was like "Mike, if you're out there come up on stage." Not sure if it was planned at all. Still, it was nice to hear Mike sound like Mike, tasty solo. I have some video I'll post soon.
Brent - you have a nice disc golf course there in Randolph. we played a round there on the way to Helsinki.

Another connection is that recently on Mike's hotline (if you've never called, and dig Mike G., it's worth a few minutes at work
) he mentioned driving down the road with Julia Mordaunt (sp?) and Ezra Lipp! Another Surprise, Surprise Me member....
