I agree. Whenever Medeski plays with them they draw a crowd, but otherwise the lizard lounge is usually pretty empty.
d'elf w/o medeski is way underrated/underappreciated methinks.
mike rivard has been playing on monday nights with a different collection of guys at atwoods in cambridge (inman square). I haven't been over there yet but caught a set of theirs at murphy's a few weeks ago. Rivard on bass, one guy on electric mandolin, and one guy on accordian. interesting

there's nothing like seeing them at the Lizard Lounge. That place has amazing sound, there's such a cool underground vibe going down there, and man is it ever a comfortable place. I've made the 3 hour trek a few times but not in the past few years. Thursday nights are just way to tough for me to do now a days. It's amazing how "under the radar" they've kept this thing going for what, 7-8 years now?
