JFJO returns to the West Coast in September. Be sure to make it out, as this is JFJO's last trip out West until 2009! The tour begins Sept. 2nd with a show at Winston's in San Diego!
The next night (Sept.3) in LA is a very special bill, featuring guest-of-honor, a 7ft Kawai Grand Piano! DJ Jeremy Sole will start the night out, and will also spin during part of JFJO's set. Brian Haas and Robbie Gennet will then mount the 7ft grand piano for a set of "Pianarchy." Robbie Gennet's Trio plays afterwards, with Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey finishing out the evening. This promises to be an unique and memorable evening of music, so be sure to get your tickets early!
After LA the band travels north to Berkeley for a show at The Starry Plough Pub on Sept.4th. After a special Free show at CSU Chico on Sept.5th, the band finishes their California portion of the tour with a show Sept.6th at Jambalaya in Arcata,CA
This run is going to be a multi media barrage - prepare yourself!! Our friends from PMP (they print our Tshirts!) are touring with us for the first week of tour in California. PMP will be doing some exclusive live painting and art making, as well as some titillating new prints. BRING YOUR TSHIRT to be printed on, and come away from the night with a fly new hand-screened shirt! Their great friend Ezra Li Eismont will be joining them for the Chico and Arcata gigs, which is sure to be a special treat. Ezra and PMP last united for their CellSpace gig in SF and have been eagerly awaiting the next incarnation. Check out ezrali.com for a look.
After a few days off the tour picks back up in Eugene Oregon on Friday September 12th with a show at the Fenario Gallery. Saturday (Sept.13) JFJO returns to Portland with a performance at The Goodfoot, with the West Coast portion of September culminating the following night (Sun.Sept.14) in Seattle,WA w/Stebmo and Das Vibenbass at the Tractor Tavern!
JFJO's September wraps up back home in Oklahoma with shows in OKC (51st St. Speakeasy), Norman (the Deli), and Tulsa (QT Festival), on the 18th, 19th, and 20th.
