JFJO return to Europe in October. Touring in support of Lil Tae Rides Again (Hyena) the band will perform in the UK, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, Germany and Sweden over the course of the three week tour. The trip's highlights include performances at Guinness Cork Jazz Festival in Ireland and the 40th Umea International Jazz Festival in Sweden, as well as a Halloween performance in London to finish the tour. Immediately beforejumping the pond, the Tulsa-based trio (Brian Haas on keys, Reed Mathis on guitars and Josh Raymer on drums) will play their final U.S. east coast shows of 2008, including legendary jazz venue, The Blue Note, in New York City. It'll conclude a banner year for JFJO whose latest album was widely praised by publications like Downbeat, The Village Voice and San Francisco Weekly, while a relentless touring schedule featured stops at Newport Jazz Festival, Lincoln Center and the The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.
These East Coast dates are the first shows to find the group performing as the trio of Haas/Mathis/Raymer in 2008. This is also the bands last trip out east until 2009. It's gunna be HOT!
