believe he's on fresh air today too. By far my favorite writer. Check out an old piece he did for NYT magazine - I believe called 'This steer's life'

He's right on the money in my book.

Fuck man its true not just the cost of food for people, but think about the amount of food that is brought into restaurants every week. Working as a cook I see so much waste of food that has taken a lot of work and energy to get to that kitchen, and some times just thrown away. Food costs affect everyone, which i think is over shadowed by gas and global warming, not that they aren't as important but look at the whole picture. What President will ever learn that. Maybe Obama and that white guy should check out a Slip show
