as some of you may or may not have seen, a certain fool on this board loves to refer to me as "single tent boy". this all started when diesel and i went to the ICT last summer, pat saw they we had brought seperate tents and has decided to make an issue of it ever since. i gave him very good reason as to why i choose to bring my own tent to festivals,

1)- i enjoy my own space to sprawl out and do socially unacceptable things.

2)- i tend to keep very odd hours in the real world, not to mention the festival scene. i go to sleep at the crack of dawn and wake up two hours after. common courtesy mandates that i do my best to keep my comings and goings from affecting the good times of my friends.

3)- one guy in a tent on a hot summer day is not the best smelling thing in the world, now mulitply by two or three.

4)- i don't go to shows looking for love but what happens when love comes looking for you??? in such magical instances you're gonna wish you had your own tent!

please answer the poll question provided.

This reminds me of setting up my tent by tiki torch light toward the end of The Slip's set at the ICT. I have a nice small tent that goes up and down easy and I like to use it. I have been known to share as well of course.

I think I've had my own ent for all tenting Slip shows... We need MORE of these too by the way!! MORE CAMPOUT SLIP SHOWS!!!

I know that we have had this discussion at length... I just personally like ragging on you about it...

I always share my tent... but of course.. I'm married... at ICT it was just easier for J and I to share a tent rather than setting up 2 (cause J doesn't have his own...)

I'm with Clinton though.. more slip campouts.. even if I have to drive to CT for it!! I would love to have one down in PA too... I'm sure there are plenty of places that it can be had... but unfortunately... I don't have the money to have the slip come play anywhere... oh well....

incidently.. don't ever make fun of tim for anything... he's overly sensitive and it will hurt his feelings...

it depends on the size of the tent. i went to wakarusa with a good friend of mine this summer and we had plenty of space to sprawl. i'd be more wary of it if it was a tiny tiny tent.

hopefully won't have this problem if my girl comes with me this summer to waka, then we'll have the tent to ourselves and it won't be an issue.

but it's usually not an issue anyway, unless the size of tent is small.

I stopped bringing tents to festivals... I usually stay up for 2 or 3 days anyways, so it just becomes a hassle to take it down later on... If I do need to sleep, I usually pass out during the day, in a chair or on a blanket - wookie style... Either that or I sleep in a friend's tent during the day while they're not using it...

incidently.. I always saw tim more as a pepsi bottle type guy as opposed to a cup...
