The Slip is back, what do you want to hear?
It is an exciting time for Slip fans, with 4 East Coast and 2 High Sierra shows ahead of us! What do you all want to hear? The Paradise brought the return of Autobody Experience and Tinderbox and I know I would love to hear those 2 make an appearance at High Sierra! I thought Wolfmother was an awesome tune as well, hope that one makes it into the rotation... What other tunes would you folks love to hear them play?
A few that jump into my mind:
Chrysanthemum (Something Learned)
Thunder Rose/Miss Prism (I think this would fit real well with their current sound)
Broke the Promised Land
Gaunt Debutante
Proud
Mudslide

Wolfmother is a really great tune IMO. They need a rocker for the next album and that fits the bill. I kind of liked Black Telephone as well though ISTR that didn't get a good reception around here The vocal was a little rough at the Paradise but that was the first time, I'm sure they could work on it, or re-work it w/o ditching the whole song which is very cool.
I would be down for Cut From The Cloth or Chasing Rabbits for sure! Love and Tears would be great as well. Lonely Boy though is one of the few Slip tunes that I'm not really a big fan of.
I'm always down for a Zion or even a Zion jam or Steel Drum Zion!

To name a few. I truly wish they would drop tunes like There's a Lie and Life in Disguise. I could not follow them down that road. Total turn off for me. I am sure others will disagree. But I really dig their stuff from 2001-2004 the most. It was a short peak but wow, did they ever deliver.
