last i heard they had a lot recorded, then marco got involved with the band and i think they're re-recording tunes with his piano parts...

on another note i saw pics of the slip in rough magic studio tracking their new record, so that's pretty exciting news

At the Narrows show there were a handful of a new Davis cds at the merch table. I asked about them and the guy went to see what the deal was and it turned out that they were not supposed to be there. Andrew came out and snatched them up. I guess a few people did get their hands on one, but not me.

the SMMD CD was "DNS" ;-}

I've seen cd's that were "DNC" before (Do Not Copy), but this is the first case I've heard of "DNS" cd's (Do Not Sell). ;)

Ooops!!! :lol:

One can only guess why...too early to release, or defects possibly?

For what it is worth both recordings being discussed here are demos. Not proper albums. Demos lead to proper albums though. So that is good.

Tone, is it the same demo they had in August of 08? Marc played me that demo at Lanterman's wedding...it didnt have thats the way on it though - im assuming thats from a different recording session...either way I dont hold my breathe anymore - this has got to be the most finicky band ever about their recordings considering how many songs they have in their repetoire. Even Built to Spill release an album every once in a while!

ah the "finding demo" sessions is what's being played for people. brad was playing that for folks in montreal when i was there in may so there's definitely no marco on it.
