audio editing software?

hey, can anyone recomend some audio editing software? I am looking for something easy to use and not terribly expensive. I want to be able to edit wav files where I can adjust audio levels, fade or cut out portions, etc. Any suggestions?

You could try Audacity. I should be able to do the basics your talking about and it's free.
