So, Lara and I were pretty frustrated with the lack of Slip music going on. We bumped into Ryan (Motet) and his brother covering some Lucky Dragon, and a few dozen phone calls later, we're having a Slip show with or without the boys. (They might come to sell merch!)

Is this just a one shot show or do they actually tour around the Northeast?

I wish I could be around for this… sounds like a blast. I believe this is a one-off show but if they get a good turn-out who knows… spread the word!

It's a one off show. The guitarist is in The Motet and used to go see The Slip a lot. He played a set with Brad back in 2002 at Bethel Farm. His little bro is the drummer and gigs in Mammal Dap. So does the bassist. Darby is in Rubblebucket. Basically a bunch of bad asses who used to see The Slip just learned a shows worth of The Slip.

Colin played Lucky Dragon at his senior recital. Jason and Lara urged them to put on a full show and everyone made it happen.

Yeah, covers. "Baliwood" describes the Nellie Jean dark jam or whatever. The covers are Rapture (Blonde), Rosanna (Toto), I Wanna Be Your Lover (Prince). Bishops was sort of a party vibe and Fete was the real "serious" tribute. Pretty heavy duty. Providence added Alsoa, Dear Melina, Love & Tears, and Weight of Solomon all with Sara Azriel angelically singing. She also did an awesome 35min set with half her music and half Slip/Brad/Nathan.

Hoping this was all recorded! Sounds like an awesome night.
