suggest some new music to me...

Post: # 4940Post Pstehley »

Recently, I've been dipping into the musical pot to grab out some new stuff.... I also went a little old school (I went and downloaded all of the Bad Religion Cd's :D ) Also, I've really gotten into the shins, reminds me somewhat of acetone...

Anyway, anyone have some suggestions for stuff for me to check out... And I already know that I don't really care for bright eyes... sorry... doesn't do it for me... anything else though?
Pat..

deerhoof. i've never heard any of their recordings but i saw a show recently and it was one of the best shows i've seen. this is some very out there, very, very aggressive music, but there's something really nice about it.

did you ever end up getting anything?

might i suggest jumping on the ryan adams bandwagon? i've listened to his new double album 'cold roses' everyday since it has come out. it's really great. sm was hyping the stars here many months ago, so i went out and picked up their album 'set yourself on fire'...it's very very good.

alot of times when i'm looking for something "new", i end up getting something old. you can never wrong buying an album like 'pet sounds', 'what's going on' or 'the last waltz'.
