What's up everybody!

Drive-ins are one of a dying breed of entertainment. Where else can you go so first run films (at least at all the drive-ins I go to) and pull tubes in your car. Most drive-ins now also work with an FM transmitter so when you listen to the movie, it's coming through your car stereo, as opposed to the little speaker thing. It's awesome. Last week I saw EP3 and this week we're seeing madagascar and monster in law... our one drive-in also does all nighters every once in a while... like for halloween they showed a bunch of scarey movies (texas chain saw masacar....etc..)

Anyway.. that's it... attached is a link that will take you to a sight to see where all the drive-in's are located to see if one is nearby... believe me, if you're gonna shell out 8 bucks to see 1 movie in the movie theatre, why not shell out like 6 and see 2 movies from the comfort of your car smoke cigarettes and drinking beer... mmmm beer....

Thanks for the link Pat. It's dificult to find listings online for the local drive-in near Burlington because it's seasonal, but this site had a link to it! Sweet, now if only it would stop raining....

If you only knew how many times Pam and I sat through the rain at the drive-in... it's one of the best, cheapest ways to get out of the house on the weekend.... plus often thier snack bar is enormously cheaper than a movie theater.. plus you can get a whole variety of different stuff.... I'm glad I could help.. If any of you ever make down this way to PA, I'll be sure to take you!

*Side-bar*
1.) One of the drive-ins we go to is the 2nd oldest drive-in and it's the
oldest drive-in still in existance...
2.) Our favorite drive-in around here used to show XXX movies in the late
70's early 80's until it switched to more "family" type movies...

Katie is it the sunset drive-in????

That place has 4 screens.. that's freaking awesome... the only problem sometimes with places like that.. is they are generally very flat... becky's where we like to go is a natural ampitheater... it's sweet...

you can't really tell by this picture.. but it's great.. no real worry about the car in front of you blocking part of the screen...

Plus sometimes in october they run a hella difficult corn maze.. (it's different each year...) Corn mazes are awesome too... if you have never been... alright.. I sound like a nerd..

Yup, that's the one. Sadly, I honestly haven't been to it yet. I've been up here for 2 summers, so I don't have an excuse other than it's hard to convince anyone to go with me, and I couldn't find their listings anywhere. I wasn't sure they were even open when it rains... I'll have to check it out.

Drive-in's are generally open rain or shine... although I'm sure it varies from drive-in to drive-in... now that you know and it's only $7 for 2 movies and you got your choice of 4 different screens.. I'm sure you'll be able to convince somebody.. no get off your keester and go!
