My TiBook crashed last night and I got it fixed today. My xACT is fucked up and so is my stuffit. So I cannot download and unzip another version of xACT for OSX.2. I was hoping someone could email me the app file for xACT for OSX.2 It is free software and all that anyway.
The link for the file is here.

Maybe you can do the yousendit so I can grab it anytime in the next 7 days I notice it ready.

There was an issue when Dan tried sending it. I have no problem downloading the file. I cannot get it to unzip though. Other things have been unzipping fine so maybe it is not me. I need the link downloaded, decompressed (unzipped) and the icon for xACT sent to me. I have the .dmg file on my dessktop but I can't open it to access the actual program. I'm going out shortly but if you used yousendit I can grab it anytime. Thanks for the effort!

Did you make a new yousendit? I got no notification of it yet. The first one you sent was still compressed and that is the issue I have right now. I cannot decompress the .dmg file. I had stuffit 8 and it stopped working after fixing my mac. Stuffit 7 wont fully decompress this xACT file for some reason. It goes through half of it and then just quits.

Clinton, I found this information about .dmg files... hopefully this will help...
Topic: Compatibility: What do I do with this .dmg file I downloaded?
That is a disk image, when mounted properly, it will be treated just like a hard drive by your system. Drag and drop the .dmg file onto Disk Copy, a utility inside the Applications/Utilities directory. That should mount the file. Then copy the contents of the disk image to your hard drive, and you should be all set!

Comment:
Ok. I have spent over a week trying to work this one out, and EUREKA! I've FOUND IT!
So many have said it cannot be done. but it CAN.
Ok. Here's how to open a .DMG file on a pc to access the files.
First, download DMG2ISO
http://vu1tur.eu.org/tools/download.pl?dmg2iso.exe
The run the file DMG2ISO shell, and select yoru .dmg file. Then name your output file and convert.
Then.... download daemon tools
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/ ... load&id=34
install it, and in the bottom right corner (running tasks) left click on it's icon, and select drive 0, and then find yoru NEW converted image (it will now be a .iso image since you converted it from .dmg to .iso).
NOW, you should see when you click 'my computer' a cd/dvd drive with the name of the file, like there was a cd/dvd in your machine (of course it is a virtual drive).
Now.... download Macdrive.
http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive6/
After installing Macdrive, you will be able to select VIEW MAC DISKS IN MY COMPUTER! And of course you have a virtual disc in your pc, which you get full access to!
Now just view all the files, and copy, and paste them to a new regular windows folder, or burn them straight to a cd/dvd and you're good to go! (I think you'll have to burn them straight to a dvd or cd in order for a mac to read them, but mac drive has this 'mac cd dvd' facility too!
. I had to spread this news as it took hours and hours of research to get this far, and I feel it is beneficial to the computing community.

let me know if I can be of any more help.. don't know that I've helped at all though... best of luck... let me know...

Pat,
Thanks for going out of your way. Are you on a PC? I'm on mac. I used to be able to open .dmg files just fine. In fact I think I still can. Just not this one. It decompresses but the status bar only goes half way and then it stops as if it were done, but nothing mounts because it didn't actually decompress anything. All I know is I need the current version on xACT for OSX.2 (not OSX.3) in a hurry. If your not on a mac it might not be feasable for you to make it happen. Unless all that stuff you posted is easy to exicute.
Anyone?
